Spring Instrumental Music Concert - May 13, 2010This year's Spring Instrumental Concert featured selections by our Jazz, Cadet and Advanced Bands. Selections included "Sweet Georgia Brown" performed by the Jazz Band, "Star Wars (Main Theme)" performed by the Cadet Band, and Michael Jackson's "Thriller" performed by the Advanced Band along with many other toe-tapping tunes performed both in band groups and in small ensembles. Graduating 8th graders were presented with a plaque from FMI commending their participation in the FMI Instrumental Music program.
Mrs. Morse was presented with a beautiful bouquet from the Home & School Association. We all extend to her our grateful thanks for her dedicated service to our young musicians.
Our instrumental music year will culminate with a performance by FMI All State musicians at the Old State House on May 28th and our band's performance of "God Bless America" at St. Mary's Night on June 1, 2010, at the New Britain Rock Cats game.
