The Office of Catholic Schools for the Archdiocese of Hartford is hosting a Teacher Fair for qualified candidates that may be interested in teaching in a Catholic school. The fair is scheduled for January 29, 2009, from 4-7pm at Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford. More information regarding this fair is available for download and print under the Community link of our website.

The Strategic Planning Committee of our School Board is asking for your input. Please take a moment to answer the questions they have posted on the SMS Parents link. The questions also appear in Mrs. Gannatti's letter home on Wednesday, 11/25/08. Your responses may be sent to School Board's attention via the school office or emailed to smsstrategicplan@gmail.com. All parents are also strongly encouraged to attend the Parent Forum regarding these discussion questions that is scheduled for Tuesday, 1/13/09 in the Parish Center at 6:30pm. Babysitting will be available until 8pm in the School Library.Thank you for taking the time to participate!
Health Office Information re. student screenings A notification has been posted under the SMS Parents link and also sent via General Announcement email on Wednesday, 11/19/08, regarding annual health screenings including vision (K-6), Audiometric (K-3, gr. 5 & 8), color vision (K only) & postural or scoliosis (gr. 5-8). This information will also be included in the Wednesday, 11/26/08 Newsletter. Please take a moment to review this information.

Important Information regarding Kindergarten 2009-2010 for parents with children not enrolled in SMS Prekindergarten programs has been posted on the
SMS Parents Link. Please take a moment to read this information if you have a child that is attending a prekindergarten program other than St. Mary's but that you would like enrolled in our Kindergarten for 2009-2010.
SMS Notepads & Magnets are available! St. Mary's Advancement Office has a limited supply of 10X3" magnets (suitable for refrigerator or car bumper!) and 5X8" notepads. Price is $3.00 each. PDF order form describing style for notepad and magnet is available for view under SMS parent link on our website.
