In his position paper, Catholic School Advancement, Larry Furey, a CFRE Partner for the Advancement Counsel in Westwood, MA noted that "The overall concept of advancement holds that the highest destiny of a school can be realized only when a compelling mission is experienced; a shared vision is established; and clearly articulated priorities are embraced by individuals willing to sacrifice and invest to ensure priorities become realities."
