"I like going to a Catholic school because I think they have a sense of community, more so than other types of schools. This community comes with the teaching of working together and cooperation."
St. Mary's School, Grade 8 Student
Dear Friends,
St. Mary's School has an honorable tradition of helping students to succeed academically and to grow in faith and wisdom. Your past contributions to the St. Mary's Annual Fund have played a major role in sustaining the vitality of our school and have helped to assure its future. I hope you will take this opportunity to renew your support and help us continue our mission to provide students with an excellent education in the Catholic tradition. Fifty percent of the money contributed to the 2008-2009 Annual Fund helps secure the future of St. Mary's School as it builds our endowment fund. The remaining money contributed to the 2008-2009 Annual Fund will enhance the educational experience at our school today. Examples of initiatives your contribution will help support include:
On-going professional development for faculty.
Purchase of lab equipment and materials to enhance our science curriculum.
Collaborative teaching projects with other schools and science organizations.
Every contribution to the Annual Fund is important, regardless of the amount. Participation is what truly counts! Please let us count you among those who support our school through the Annual Fund drive. Please remember that your gift may be eligible for matching funds. Many employers including the Aetna, the Hartford Courant Company, Travelers and United Technologies via the United Way, sponsor matching gift programs. To find out if your employer has a matching gift policy, please consult the "Double your Dollars" list that appears under the Matching Gifts link.
To contribute to the St. Mary's Annual Fund, please download, print and mail the Annual Fund Pledge Card located on the previous page. Kindly send your response to the school at 946 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury, CT 06070.
Thank you for your support.
